The Indonesian Society of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (PETRI) Makassar Branch, together with BBPK Makassar and in collaboration with the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, successfully hosted MADAT 2025: Makassar HIV/AIDS Update on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Carrying the theme “Comprehensive HIV Management 2025: Integration of Diagnosis, Therapy, Prevention, and Education Toward HIV Elimination by 2030,” the online scientific session was held via Zoom Meeting from 08:00 to 13:00 WITA.

The event provided a comprehensive discussion on the latest developments in HIV care, covering key pillars of management including diagnosis, therapy, prevention, and education as part of a shared commitment to accelerate progress toward HIV elimination by 2030.

MADAT 2025 ran smoothly with strong enthusiasm from participants, bringing together 250 attendees from various regions across Indonesia.

The organizing committee extends sincere appreciation to all speakers, committee members, and participants for their valuable contributions and active engagement. It is hoped that this event will strengthen the capacity and role of healthcare professionals in advancing HIV/AIDS control efforts in Indonesia.
