Kongres Nasional PETRI XXVI 2026 was a scientific meeting that provided a platform for physicians and healthcare professionals to update their knowledge, share clinical experiences, and strengthen professional networks and collaboration in the field of infectious and tropical diseases.
Held under the theme “Rational Approach for Clinical Practice in the Treatment of Infectious and Tropical Diseases” as part of the Manifesto Update 2026 series, the congress featured a wide range of scientific discussions addressing the latest developments in the diagnosis, management, prevention, and control of infectious and tropical diseases.
The program began with a series of workshops focusing on practical topics relevant to clinical practice. Participants gained updated knowledge through interactive and evidence-based sessions covering fluid and nutritional management, antimicrobial stewardship (PPRA), and HIV management and programs. These workshops provided participants with opportunities to deepen their understanding and enhance practical skills applicable to everyday clinical care.
On the second day, the program continued with various scientific sessions and symposia addressing key issues in infectious and tropical diseases. Topics included antimicrobial resistance, antifungal therapy, malaria, sepsis, and other important infectious disease conditions. Each session featured evidence-based discussions and clinical experiences to support rational and appropriate decision-making in daily practice.
In addition to the scientific program, PETRI Night provided a memorable opportunity to strengthen connections and foster a sense of community among participants and members of the PETRI family. The evening featured a dinner gathering, video recap, award presentations, In Memoriam, the Halim Mubin Legacy Award, and the announcement of Poster Presentation winners, followed by performances from various PETRI branches.
On the third day, Kongres Nasional PETRI XXVI 2026 concluded its symposium series with the final day of scientific sessions. The program once again highlighted the latest developments in infectious and tropical diseases, providing participants with an opportunity to broaden their knowledge and strengthen the application of evidence-based medicine in clinical practice.
Over the three-day event, Kongres Nasional PETRI XXVI 2026 served not only as a platform for scientific updates but also as an important opportunity to build professional networks, exchange experiences, strengthen collaboration, and reinforce a shared commitment to providing the best possible care for patients with infectious and tropical diseases.
