Makassar once again earned the trust to host the 22nd National Scientific Meeting of the Indonesian Society of Internal Medicine (PIN PAPDI XXII), after previously serving as a successful host in 2017. As the premier national scientific forum in Internal Medicine, PIN PAPDI XXII was held on 17–19 October 2025, presenting a comprehensive agenda that included workshops and symposiums, the Scientific Competition of Internal Medicine (SCIM), and the official launch of several Consensus Books by the PAPDI Executive Board.
Total of 990 participants from across Indonesia took part in the event, which was conducted at Claro Hotel Makassar, the Integrated Heart Center of RSUP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo, and Hasanuddin University Hospital. The Chair of the Organizing Committee, Dr. dr. Sukamto Koesnoe, Sp.PD, K-A.I, FINASIM, emphasized the importance of utilizing PIN PAPDI XXII as a platform for collaboration and innovation, aiming to advance scientific knowledge and enhance the quality of Internal Medicine services nationwide.
The successful convening of PIN PAPDI XXII Makassar 2025 is expected to contribute significantly to scientific progress, the improvement of healthcare delivery, and the strengthening of professional service among Indonesia’s internal medicine specialists.
