Makassar – The Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, through its Division of Rheumatology, successfully organized the Celebes Rheumatology and Autoimmune Insight (CELEBRASI) 2026, marking the first scientific meeting dedicated to rheumatology and autoimmune diseases in Eastern Indonesia. The event served as a platform for scientific exchange, professional learning, and collaboration among healthcare professionals committed to improving the management of rheumatic and autoimmune diseases.

The first day of the meeting was conducted smoothly and was met with enthusiastic participation from attendees. As the inaugural scientific forum of its kind in Eastern Indonesia, CELEBRASI 2026 represents an important milestone in advancing rheumatology education, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and strengthening professional networks in the region.

In his opening remarks, Dr. dr. Faridin H.P., Sp.PD, K-R, Chair of the Organizing Committee, stated that CELEBRASI 2026 marks the beginning of a sustainable scientific forum for rheumatology in Eastern Indonesia. He expressed his hope that the meeting would serve as a catalyst for scientific advancement while strengthening collaboration among healthcare professionals across the country.

The event was officially inaugurated by Prof. Dr. dr. Haerani Rasyid, M.Kes., Sp.PD, K-GH., Sp.GK, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, through a ceremonial gong striking. In her address, she emphasized the importance of sustaining scientific meetings such as CELEBRASI as a means of enhancing healthcare professionals’ competencies and contributing to the continuous improvement of healthcare services in Indonesia.

The two-day scientific program featured Plenary Lectures and Symposia, highlighting the latest advances in the diagnosis, management, and research of rheumatic and autoimmune diseases. Each session encouraged active interaction between distinguished speakers and participants, fostering meaningful scientific discussion and knowledge exchange.

The entire CELEBRASI 2026 program concluded successfully, reflecting the strong commitment of participants, invited speakers, moderators, sponsors, and the organizing committee to advancing the field of rheumatology in Indonesia.
