On Friday, 16th December 2022 a Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) Workshop was held for surgeons and internists in the Kidney-Hypertension division at Wahidin Sudirohusodo General Hospital Makassar.
The first session were presented by Prof. Dr. dr. Syakib Bakri, Sp.PD, K-GH; dr. Jusli Aras, M.Kes, Sp.A (K); and Prof. Dr. dr. Haerani Rasyid, M.Kes, Sp.PD, K-GH, Sp. GK about kidney failure in adults and children, and nutritional supplement in patients with CAPD.
The next session was filled by dr. Nasrum Machmud, Sp.PD, K-GH; Ns. Nirmala; and Dr. dr. Hasyim Kasim, Sp.PD-KGH regarding CAPD indications, as well as complications of CAPD peritonitis.
The last discussion was filled by Dr. dr. Warsinggih, Sp. B, Subsp. BD(K) and dr. Ihwan Kusuma, Sp.B, Subsp. BD (K) about the complications of CAPD cannula insertion and the practice of CAPD cannula insertion in the operating room.
