The Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, in collaboration with PAPDI South and West Sulawesi, conducted a Hemodialysis Access Screening program led by experts in Nephrology Hypertension. This activity focused on comprehensive evaluation of vascular access in hemodialysis patients to ensure optimal function, enabling dialysis procedures to be performed effectively and safely.
Hemodialysis access screening plays a crucial role in the management of chronic kidney disease, as vascular access complications can directly affect the quality of dialysis therapy. In addition to clinical assessment, the program also provided education for local healthcare workers on the importance of routine access monitoring.
As part of the PAPDI Regional Meeting, this initiative reflects a shared commitment to improving healthcare quality and strengthening professional networks across South and West Sulawesi. This event was held on 22 November 2025 at Tenriawaru Hospital, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi.
Carrying the spirit of “Precise Detection, Meaningful Management,” this activity aims to support continuous improvements in hemodialysis services and deliver longterm benefits for both patients and healthcare facilities in the region.
