As part of Community Service program, the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Hasanuddin conducted a health service activity on 30 August 2025 at Tosora Community Health Center (Puskesmas Tosora), Majauleng District, Wajo Regency. The activity included health education sessions covering anemia, the health impacts of smoking, and elderly health. In addition, several health examinations were carried out, including lung function tests, spirometry, abdominal ultrasound, renal ultrasound, Ankle-Brachial Index assessment, geriatric evaluation, and screening for peripheral artery disease, sarcopenia, obesity, osteoarthritis, and gout.
Total of 195 community members attended and actively participated in the event, reflecting strong awareness and concern for health as an essential foundation for better quality of life. The knowledge delivered, services provided, and care extended through this program are expected to contribute meaningfully to improving the overall health status of the Tosora community and its surrounding areas.
